First of all, Apprentices are either training to be a Medicine Cat or a Warrior.  Apprentices who are training to be Warriors train by doing fighting and hunting practice with their Warrior mentor and sometimes other Apprentices and mentors.  Sometimes they have to do chores like make new bedding or search the Elders for ticks.  After the Apprentices are done with training they receive their full Warrior name.  Medicine Cat Apprentices learn how to treat sick and injured cats.  they learn all the herbs and carry out tasks to help cats in the Clan.  Even when the Medicine Cat Apprentices are named Warriors they are still Apprentices until their mentor dies.
